The 5 Stages of Grief is a series of collages, mixed medias, and traditional oils filling the gaps of unrecorded history. Each work explores the manifestation of the inevitable process of the material becoming immaterial filtered through socioeconomic, ecological, and cultural strainers. Works embedded with joss funeral paper, used in traditional ancestral worship, serve as a visual dirge, a celebration for the forgotten, missing pieces to the puzzle.
