Collage is about source and destination, the tension between displacement and simulation. The source material leaves its trace DNA on its destination, complicating and forming layers of meaning and temporality. This act of deconstructing mass manufactured images originally designed to encourage materialism and consumerism and reconstructing the material is my way of making sense and injecting meaning into the ephemera.
